Water Restoration Equipment – Dehumidifiers on Steroids!

Water restoration equipment & education

is the driving force behind what separates Tuft Aide from the other structure drying contractors in Southwest Missouri. Our water mitigation equipment, combined with education, is what allows us to dry most structures without removing the drywall, carpet, or wood flooring (methods used by many companies). Some refer to our dehu’s as “dehumidifiers on steroids!”

L.G.R. Dehumidifiers: Low grain refrigerant dehumidifiers specs:

  • Removes up to 35 gallons of water per day
  • Operates in temperatures up to 120 degrees F
  • Lowers GPP’s to 28
  • Each handles approx. 3000 cubic ft of air

You are usually back in your space in 3 – 4 days, not 3 – 4 weeks!

We also use:

Hydro X: High Speed Water Extractors

This is used to quickly extract large amounts water from carpet, pad or any hard surface. In most cases, the carpet and pad can be dried without its removal!

Air Movers: Low amp, high CFM

It is often difficult to find enough power to run the drying equipment. For that reason, we use low amp, high CFM (Cubic Feet Per Minute) air movers. These are designed to circulate the air, where it’s needed, in order to increase water evaporation. You can’t purchase these air movers at your local big box store! They are specially made for the drying industry.

Thermal Infrared Camera: Thermal visual imaging

TIC cameras are just one of many tools we use to detect moisture by visualizing surface temperature differentials. It is a very quick and easy way to determine the affected areas. When one is faced with a water loss, every minute counts!

Injectidry: Moves air into areas less accessible
This method of drying is often used on hardwood and tile floors, walls and cabinetry. When air movement is necessary to dry inaccessible spaces, the Injectidry technology is utilized.
Hepa Air Scrubbers: Filters air-borne contaminates from the area

Should an unsafe environment become prevalent, the Hepa system is used. This can help in keeping the environment safe from air-borne particles during the drying process.
